QUIET CHRISTMAS

Don't buy me no presents, cause I was not a good boy
Don't roast me no chestnuts, cause I'm not hungry anyway
Now the Christmas Tree is pretty, I like it cause it's quiet
I dug it from the backyard, and I didn't have to buy it

I want quiet time this Christmas
Cause everything is too loud
Turn off the TV and the music
And maybe read the Christmas Story
From that old tattered bible that we keep by the bed
Our gift can be the Baby Jesus
And we'll spend time with Him instead

Don't want no TV specials, theyr'e contrived and insincere
Looking in your face and smiling, is all that I can stand to hear
And they say it was a silent night, and I say I'd like to try it
I treasure Christmas more than ever, cause I didn't have to buy it
