El vencedor es el que se ha vencido
Quien disipa la Ilusión y despierta
Tras él queda tendida una piel muerta:
Ruina de guerra del Yo renacido
Cuántos seres que aún no han comprendido
Que hay una dicha mayor no descubierta
Y buscan fuera con una fe incierta
Lo que en su interior se encuentra escondido
Quarciso comprendió lo que sucede:
Despojarse es la conquista más bella
Lo que posees no dejará huella
Lo que eres será lo que el mundo herede
Mientras que quien no avanza, retrocede
Y quien va hacia la Luz está ya en ella

(Quarciso, tumbado sobre la hierba, contempla el cielo)

El aire huele a luz nueva y silencio
Descansa manso sobre el pasto el rocío
Un ave cruza el amplio olimpo azul y limpio
Y siento en mí, dentro, un apacible vacío
No verlo todo idéntico es estar loco
Creerse único, estar desunido del Todo
Con antropocéntrica ilusión me arrastré inarmónico entre el vulgo
¡Ah, sí, yo, ser especial y único
Que hallaba dualidad donde en realidad todo es uno!
Sí, ¡por ello me sentía tan solo en el mundo!
Ahora -nada en medio de todo-
Percibo nuestro ser como una extensión del universo, y me fundo
El fin es conocerse:
Fluir, lograr latir en armonía con todo lo existente
Cuantos más rasgos distintos en sí mismo encuentre
Tanto más semejante se descubrirá a los demás seres
Pero la ignorancia de sí aisló al hombre por siempre
Incapaz de identificarse con lo que es sin lo que tiene
No logra ver lo que une sino lo que difiere:
Raza, credo, poder: ajeno a lo inmanente
¡Ciegas piedras angulares!
Nada hay que haga a los hombres más semejantes
Que su creencia de que son singulares
Es lo superficial, lo insignificante lo que nos diferencia
Nos une lo esencial: la esencia

Entre otros motivos
Comencé a escribir este diario para
Ser consciente de en qué fecha vivo
Pero cuando no tengo nada importante que escribir, no escribo
Y así se ha escurrido mi noción del tiempo hasta perder sentido
Debe de ser noviembre, el viento ha vuelto a sus andadas
Espantando las hojas, que despavoridas huyen en bandadas
Pero ¿A dónde emigrarán con sus alas secas, mariposas del otoño
Para volver en verde vida renovadas?
En la desnuda bóveda arbórea gorjea una alondra
Ha caído la tarde tan pronto que hasta la luz se asombra
Pero el tiempo no es más que una apariencia redonda:
Bucle, rizo, onda, hélice de haz y de sombra
Dicen: El tiempo tiene alas, cada segundo es urgente
Una vida no es suficiente: hoy ya es ayer de mañana
Y aunque es cierto que parece que el tiempo nos persigue huyendo
Es porque el óxido está en nuestros ojos y no sobre el yerro
Todo no es más que un pobre invento de la mente
Una ilusión por vivir con pasado y futuro presentes
Como ahora, que evoco mi infancia en tu último adiós
Y es extraño, papá: ya eres más joven que yo

Ha cesado mi miedo:
Ahora que ya no tengo nada, por fin lo amo Todo
Aunque este Todo sean muchos todos
En realidad todos ellos son uno solo
La existencia es un único y mismo día
Con millones de albas y ocasos diferentes
He aceptado el dolor, el mal y la muerte
Como una condición de la armonía
El aire es vivo aliento
Y el cuerpo alberga en pequeñas
Partículas la memoria de todos los tiempos
Cuando respiro, aspiro el suspiro
De todos los seres que existen y han existido
Todo es semilla de todas las cosas:
En el puerto de mi cuerpo yerto
Atracarán larvas y despegarán mariposas
No hay nacimiento ni muerte, principio ni fin
Sólo materia inconsistente en perpetuo fluir

Act III: The Diary (Scene Three)

The victor is the one who has conquered himself,
Who dispels the Illusion and awakens.
Behind him lies a dead skin:
Ruins of war of the reborn Self.
How many beings who have not yet understood

And search outside with uncertain faith
What is hidden within them.
Quarciso understood what happens:
To divest oneself is the most beautiful conquest.
What you possess will leave no trace.
What you are will be what the world inherits.

(Quarciso, lying on the grass, contemplates the sky)

The air smells of new light and silence.
The dew rests meekly on the grass.
A bird crosses the wide blue and clean Olympus,
And I feel in me, inside, a peaceful void.
Not seeing everything identical is being crazy.
To believe oneself unique, to be separated from the Whole.
With anthropocentric illusion I dragged myself inharmoniously among the vulgar.
Oh, yes, I, a special and unique being,
Who found duality where in reality everything is one!
Yes, that's why I felt so alone in the world!
Now - nothing in the middle of everything -
I perceive our being as an extension of the universe, and I merge.
The goal is to know oneself:
To flow, to beat in harmony with all that exists.
The more different features he finds in himself,
The more similar he will discover himself to other beings.
But ignorance of oneself has always isolated man,
Unable to identify with what he is without what he has.
He cannot see what unites but what differs:
Race, creed, power: alien to the immanent.
Blind cornerstones!
There is nothing that makes men more alike
Than their belief that they are singular.
It is the superficial, the insignificant that differentiates us.
The essential unites us: the essence.

Among other reasons,
I started writing this diary to
Be aware of what date I live in,
But when I have nothing important to write, I don't write,
And so my notion of time has slipped away until it loses its meaning.
It must be November, the wind is back to its old tricks,
Scaring away the leaves, which flee in terror in flocks.
But where will they migrate with their dry wings, butterflies of autumn,
To return to green renewed life?
A lark sings in the bare arboreal vault.
The afternoon has fallen so soon that even the light is astonished.
But time is nothing more than a round appearance:
Loop, curl, wave, helix of beam and shadow.
They say: Time has wings, every second is urgent.
One life is not enough: today is already yesterday of tomorrow.
And although it is true that it seems that time chases us away fleeing,
It is because the rust is in our eyes and not on the mistake.
Everything is nothing more than a poor invention of the mind,
An illusion to live with past and future present,
As now, that I evoke my childhood in your last goodbye.
And it's strange, Dad: you're already younger than me.

My fear has ceased:
Now that I have nothing, I finally love Everything,
Even though this Everything is many everyones.
In reality all of them are one.
Existence is a single and same day
With millions of different dawns and sunsets.
I have accepted pain, evil and death
As a condition of harmony.
The air is living breath,
And the body houses in small
Particles the memory of all time.
When I breathe, I aspire the sigh
Of all beings that exist and have existed.
Everything is the seed of all things:
In the port of my stiff body
Larvae will dock and butterflies will take off.
There is no birth or death, beginning or end,
Only inconsistent matter in perpetual flow.
