Ob Säuglinge, ob Jungfrauen auf den Altaren liegen,
Ist Tag ein und aus seit Anbeginn der Zeit schlichtweg egal.
Wohin man blickt, wonach man sucht mit abertausend Zungen spricht die Qual:

Warum hört mir Gott nicht zu?
"Weil Gott nicht durch Ohren hören kann wie du."
Warum hat Gott keinen Mund?
"Gott gibt seine Wahrheit nicht durch Worte kund!"

"Ich glaube an das eine, an das ohne Gesicht!
Das frei von allen Sünden ist, das weder hört noch spricht!

From the West's vain towers of glass and arrogance
To the Far Eastern storms of steel, concrete, and tolerance,
Torments all people, every day, no answer - one question:

Why does God not have a face?
"Because God does not speak to you through your lips!"
Why does God not look at me?
"Because God cannot see through your eyes!"

Whether books, rich in knowledge, lambs, calves, goats;
Whether infants, or virgins on the altars lie,
Day in and day out since the beginning of time, it's simply irrelevant.
Wherever you look, whatever you search for, with a thousand tongues the torment speaks:

Why does God not listen to me?
"Because God cannot hear through ears like you."
Why does God not have a mouth?
"God does not give his truth through words!"

"I believe in the one, the one without a face!

In that which eternally from me, and anew drives its roots."
