People try to drain you of your energy, it's like that

But where does it go? Do we all know
When we all go, where does our soul

Is this all just illusion
All inside my head
Is the author of confusion
Not the one who's being read

If you love something or someone, you'll prove it
If you want something to do, then you'll do it
If you find purpose for living, than perfect
Too many people mix doubt with what's working

So contradicting, yeah
You should be more confident
Don't take it as a backhanded compliment
People look up to you constantly
And you don't even realize

When you're living in the dark for so long
