Strange are the sights that the settlers now face
A new world yet touched by no hand

Streams of silver water are rushing forth through the hills
Into lakes of unthinkable dark depths below
High above the valley reaches the hills made of ash,
Casting their shadows on the colony below

Further afield, striding untrodden trails,
Enraptured, the pilgrims delve into the dark of night
