I Should Get Going Soon

I kinda stopped caring and ended up slacking off this morning.
My lame excuses just made me feel worse.
The potato chip bag she was munching on last night
And the beer she was drinking while watching TV... are still on the table.

My days are so pathetic.
I think about all sorts of things, but

My family says, "At least give us a call."
But I have nothing to talk about.
She always says, "You're so boring."
It's almost noon. I should get going soon.

As I opened the door, the cold air stung my ears.
With my hand still on the doorknob, I took a deep breath.
A skinny dog that passed by gave me a sly grin.
My breath was so visible, it was almost comical.

Maybe things will be a little better on the weekend.
