Another Cow in Limbo

There once was a smaller cow
It was not the smallest cow
But if you saw it
You would say
"That is a smaller cow"

There once was a smarter cow
Though as far as intelligence goes
This cow didn't go very far
But most cows
Stay where they are

But some cows wander off
To the furthest reaches
Of the pasture
And they are never slaughtered

This cow did not float away
Like a leaf
It was later labelled beef
And maybe you ate it

There once was a stronger cow
It was not strong enough
To break into freedom
But only strong enough
To dream of such things

Another cow in limbo
From grass eating
To beef gumbo
