We'll play a game of musical chairs
And this is how we'll do it
We'll line the chairs up in a row
And turn on the music
When the music starts to play
And everybody's ready
We'll walk around the chairs
Until stop goes the music

Now when you line up the chairs
Make sure they're facing in opposite directions
One to the left, one to the right
One to the left, and so on
Also, make sure that there is one less chair
Than there are people
For instance, if there are six people
There should only be five chairs
Are we ready?

Now when you hear the music stop
Sit down and do it quickly
When all but one are sitting down
Out goes the slow poke
You take away one chair
And then you do the same thing over
Whoever gets the last one left
That is the winner

Now everybody get ready
And remember, no fair sitting down
Before the music stops

Everybody sit down quickly
Who's left without a chair?
Well, out goes the slow poke
Take one chair away and we'll start again
