।। शान्ति मंत्र ।।
करचरण कृतं वाक्कायजं कर्मजं वा ।
श्रवणनयनजं वा मानसं वापराधं ।
विहितमविहितं वा सर्वमेतत्क्षमस्व ।
जय जय करुणाब्धे श्रीमहादेव शम्भो ॥
1: Whatever Sins have been Committed by ActionsPerformed by
Or Sins Committed by my Mind (i.e. Thoughts),
3: While Performing Actions which are Prescribed (i.e.
Duties prescribed by tradition or allotted duties in one's station of
Life), As Well as All other Actions which are Notexplicitly
Prescribed (i.e. actions done by self-judgement, by mere habit,
Without much thinking, unknowingly etc); Please Forgive Them All,
4: Victory, Victory to You, O Sri Mahadeva Shambho,
I Surrender to You, You are an Ocean of Compassion.
ॐ
सह नाववतु ।
सह नौ भुनक्तु ।
सह वीर्यं करवावहै ।
तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै ।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥
Om, May God Protect us Both (the Teacher and the Student),
May God Nourish us Both,
May we Work Together with Energy and Vigour,
May our Study be Enlightening and not give rise to Hostility,
Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.
त्वमेव माता च पिता त्वमेव ।
त्वमेव बन्धुश्च सखा त्वमेव ।
त्वमेव विद्या द्रविणम् त्वमेव ।
त्वमेव सर्वम् मम देव देव ॥
1: You Truly are my Mother And You Truly are my Father .
2: You Truly are my Relative And You Truly are my Friend.
3: You Truly are my Knowledge and You Truly are my Wealth.
4: You Truly are my All, My God of Gods.
असतो मा सदगमय ॥
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ॥
मृत्योर्मामृतम् गमय ॥
(हमको) असत्य से सत्य की ओर ले चलो ।
अंधकार से प्रकाश की ओर ले चलो ।।
मृत्यु से अमरता की ओर ले चलो ॥।
दीपज्योतिः परब्रह्म दीपज्योतिर्जनार्दनः ।
दीपो हरतु मे पापं दीपज्योतिर्नमोऽस्तुते ॥
1: (Salutations to the Light of the Lamp) The Light of the Lamp
Represents the Supreme Brahman,
The Light of the Lamp represents Janardhana (Sri Vishnu),
2: Let the Light of the Lamp Remove My
Sins; Salutations to the Light of the Lamp.

सर्वेशां स्वस्तिर्भवतु ।
सर्वेशां शान्तिर्भवतु ।
सर्वेशां पुर्णंभवतु ।
सर्वेशां मङ्गलंभवतु ।।
ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः ।
सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः ।
सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु ।
मा कश्चिद्दुःखभाग्भवेत् ।।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः
Auspiciousness (swasti) be unto all; peace (shanti) be unto all;
Fullness (poornam) be unto all; prosperity (mangalam) be unto all.
May all be happy! (sukhinah)
May all be free from disabilities! (niraamayaah)
May all look (pashyantu)to the good of others!
May none suffer from sorrow! (duhkha)
ब्रह्मार्पणं ब्रह्म हविर्ब्रह्माग्नौ ब्रह्मणा हुतम् ।
ब्रह्मैव तेन गन्तव्यं ब्रह्मकर्मसमाधिना ॥ गीता 4, २४॥
Meaning: Any means of offering is Brahman, the oblation is Brahman,
The fire in which the offering is made is Brahman,
And the one who offers is Brahman.
Such a person who abides in Brahman indeed gains Brahman
रामं स्कन्दं हनूमन्तं वैनतेयं वृकोदरम् ।
शयने यः स्मरेन्नित्यं दुःस्वप्नस्तस्य नश्यति ।।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥
अर्थ: सोते समय मनुष्यद्वारा श्रीराम, स्कंद अर्थात कार्तिकेय, हनुमान, गरुड एवं भीम का स्मरण करने पर उसके दुःस्वप्नों का नाश होता है ।
प्राणापान-व्यानोदान-समाना मे शुध्यन्तां
ज्योतिरहं विरजा विपाप्मा भूयासँ स्वाहा॥
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥
May my five vital forces of life, Praana, Apaana, Vyaana,
Udaana and Samaana become purified!
May I (Aatman or Self) of the nature of self-luminous knowledge be
Divested of Rajoguna (ego) and tamoguna (ignorance) and
Become sinless—Swaaha, so chanting I offer the oblation.
