El Entierro

En el entierro habían más de mil,
El chocolate por poco no alcanza para tanta gente, pero mira que suerte, que trajeron café.

Y Aunque siguieron tanto apretados,
Eso no importa cuando justamente,
Quien te queda al lado te venia buscando, y preguntar que hora es.

Entonces llega el terrible momento,
De enfilarse para el cementerio,
Pero que fastidio, aquello estaba bueno;

Y se apresuran todos en salir,
Pero la prisa no será el remedio,
Porque cuando pisen esa carretera,
Viajarán tan lento, viajarán tan lento...

(*) Todos juntos van para el entierro,
Como es natural lucen muy serios,
Porque es propia la ocasión, para pasear el dolor;

Y aunque la confusión de ese momento,
Descubren que se les quedó el muerto,
No pueden retroceder, porque el entierro es puntual .
A las tres...

Y ya llegados al lugar del hecho,
No encuentran nadie que se preste para ocupar ese puesto que le habían cavado, a aquel del funeral;

Asi es que se deciden a enterrar,
Todas las flores que trajeron,
Desde tan, tan lejos,
Que cuestan dinero,
Y como quedó tan lindo el lugar
Cada cual se fué para su casa,
Con gran sentimiento y a pasar el tiempo,
Cuentan que floreció, un rosal.

The Funeral

There were over a thousand at the funeral,
There was hardly enough hot chocolate for so many people, but what luck, for they brought coffee.

And although they were all so close,
That does not matter when the one,
