Watch, be ready
Soon the Son of Man in power and great glory shall appear
The fig tree is now in blossom
A sign He has given to tell us that His coming is near
Quickly in the twinkling of an eye
Yes, every eye shall see
As lightning flashes from the east to the west
So the coming of the Son of Man be

Pray without ceasing
For in that day vile lust and wicked pleasures shall abound
Lest the deluge of lawless passion
Quench love's fire in your soul, take
Heed lest in the flood you'll drown
The brave, corrupt and heartless
Men shall do evil continually
As violence reigned in the days of Noah
So in that day it shall be

Arise from your slumber
Put on your wedding garments
Soon the watchman will lift his voice and cry
We are nearing the midnight hour
Soon the bridegroom shall descend with the trumpet
And rend the burning sky
But have your lamps filled with oil
Trimmed and burning bright
Watch, be ready lest the day overtake you
Without warning at the deep in the night
