TOO MUCH WORK

I have been praying for doors to be open for so long while I have sat idle and waited
Praying the Lord would provide opportunity when in reality I was just saying
I can submit to your calling and walk in obedience when it is not complicated
But faith is not moving when doors are just open, it's moving the moment your calling is stated
The calling is clear, I've heard it for years, preach the Gospel to the masses thru music
Make sure it's clear, for those who will hear, no matter the opposition, keep it movin'
No need to fear, just look at my peers, I've got community they keep me rooted
No need to steer, just keep it in gear, my plans are surrendered, the Spirit will use it
Venues for many or few are irrelevant,
Methods will change like a newer development
Don't need opinions of man to embellish it
Stick to the script 'cause the message is excellent
I address issues, ain't scared of no elephants
Bible is timeless, cause truth will stay relevant
I may offend, but my heart is benevolent
I pray my actions to you are the evidence

I feel like Moana, no one knows how far I'll go with this
I know there's deeper waters for me to explore
But so far I have only dipped my toes in this
The Gospel message is restoring broken hearts to save the people from their hopelessness
So I don't need help from a Demi-god
The Rock I serve appointed the plot where every ocean sits
So I embrace the journey
No need to be worried
Even if I try and fail today
I know it's not the end of story
Only You are worthy
I know You go before me
Even if praises of man are misguided
I know that you will get the glory
So if I ever lose sight of the aim and you notice that I am lacking in humility
Though it's embarrassing, break me or bury me
That is a ministry soon to be perishing
Strip me of everything, take down my pride and remind me the purpose
The focus is never me
Seeking the kingdom, proclaiming Your glory and Gospel's forever the goal of the ministry
