In the gentle breeze of 57th Street,
We walked, shoulders huddled against the cold,

I lit a cigarette,
As the city faded sadly.
On the graffiti-covered wall,
There were no memories to be found,
Who wrote it, and when, we didn't know,
But in the fading light,
Beaten by rain and wind,

There are no flowers in this city, just a gray sky,
We walk with our eyes turned down,
