Eric Tyler - Mermaid Tides Songtexte

Songtexte Mermaid Tides - Eric Tyler

I've been struggling all day, only with myself
While the rain pours down from the thunderheads
I'm looking out my window at the rising waters
And the beaches that are lined with coral beds
The sea foam spray blows through the air
And lands on dark salt stained stones
When all of the sudden, out of the chaos
There was a light that suddenly shone
The waves are getting closer
They are crashing into me
And the sea is drowning me
While the mermaids start to sing
I've been waiting, yeah
Waiting for the mermaids
Waiting for the mermaids
To sing their song to me
And then I realized
Why I hadn't seen sailors
On the sea
In the spaceship graveyards
They lull me to sleep
Give me empty promises
And dive down deep
I don't want to leave you
But I don't have a choice
They haunt me with their melodies
And their vexing voice
Oh my lord
Let the tides come in
Wash me away
To joy again
I can't see Neptune
When the sky is full of clouds
Can't hear the whale's call
With a mind that isn't sound, yeah
There's unexplained phenomena
Flying saucers in the skies
Ghost ships will sail these waters
And the crew have glowing eyes
And if you listen very closely
You'll hear the mermaid's cry
I find myself drawn to the beach
Much to my delight
The waves are getting closer,
They are crashing into me
And the sea is drowning me
While the mermaids start to sing
I've been waiting, yeah
Waiting for the mermaids
Waiting for the mermaids
To sing their song to me
