John Edmond - Kick the Wheel. Songtexte

Songtexte Kick the Wheel. - John Edmond

Once there was a little boy that often liked to ride
On his little blue bicycle along the mountain side
For it was a mountain bike and could go most anywhere
Say what you like no matter the bike the tyres got to have air
And nearby hoping around on a tree was a bird of white and black
Who puffed his little white feathers up like a snow ball on his back
He puffed because he was worried about that little child
And hoped that the boy would check his tyres
before he set off for the wild
Kick the wheel kick the wheel kick the wheel kick the wheel
Before you ride your bike
Said the little Puff back shrike
That day the boy really felt like a ride and onto his bike he jumped
In such a hurry he didn't worry to see if the tyres were pumped
And over the rocks and bumps he went never considering that
All alone and far from home his tyres would go flat
Kick the wheel kick the wheel kick the wheel kick the wheel
Before you ride your bike
Said the little Puff back shrike
And because that boy was impatient and didn't take very much care
To check his little bike to see if the tyres had enough air
So home he hiked pushing his bike and the lesson he learnt that day
Should have heeded the word that little bird really was trying to say
Kick the wheel kick the wheel kick the wheel kick the wheel
Before you ride your bike
Said the little Puff back shrike
Kick the wheel kick the wheel kick the wheel kick the wheel
Before you ride your bike
Said the black backed puff back shrike
