Songtexte Rich Forever (Commentary) - KB

So, the first song on my album is a song entitled "Rich Forever," um
And it's a ballad slash, you know, trap marriage. It's a very
Different type of beat produced by my homie Swoope, um, with
Collision Records. And it's been, uh, a nice little introduction to
The album 'cause it's sort of, uh, it's in that space where you wake
Up in the morning, uh, where you don't want nothing that's like
Hardcore screaming your brains out, but yet you do want something
With a little bit of pickup. This is like a coffee table, reflection-
Type song, um, and the concept is, uh, simply asking the question
What does it mean to be rich? Why is it that some of the people in
Our society who have, who seem to have it all, are often the most
Empty? And then you go to places like I have, uh, remote third world
Countries where people don't have much at all, yet they are so full
And I've come to the place to find that rich people are not those
Who have the most money, but I think it's those who have the most
Joy. And I believe that joy is, uh, in the realm of a relationship
With God. That's where you find it in its fullness, and to be rich
In His mercy, His grace, His love, His kindness, to be in right
Relationship with your Creator, that is the type of riches that will
Never run out. When the last dollar is spent, you will still be
Bathing in the wealth of your relationship with God. And that's what
The song's about, and I want to celebrate and be proud of it. They
Asked me, "How much is enough?" I would answer like Rockafeller did
"Just a little bit more." But for me, I have enough. Rich forever
