You could join us today because we are celebrating Reba
McEntire's Christmas album, "My Kind of Christmas." And I am
So happy to be joined in studio by Reba! Hey Reba. How are ya?
Hey! I'm great, Becca. How you doin'?
Are you gettin' in the holiday spirit?
Ho, ho, ho! Absolutely!
That's good. Well, you know, over the next hour we are gonna play your
Entire Christmas album. We're gonna talk about some of the songs on
The album, share some holiday thoughts and stories, and hopefully
Just bring a little Christmas cheer to everybody. So
First I wanna talk about the album as a whole. Looking over
The tracklist, you've got some secular songs, you've got
Some spiritual songs, and there are so many endless possibilities
When you're picking Christmas songs to record. So, how
Did you set about picking these particular fourteen songs?
Well, Becca, I basically do it the way I do any album: I find my
Favorite songs that I wanna sing, that I love to listen to, that
Mean something to do that touch my heart. And when they touch
My heart and I sing 'em, hopefully they'll touch your heart too
And I know that this is usually a tough question for an artist
When we're talking about their own songs, but since these are
Christmas classics, do you have a favorite off of this album?
Oh, "Mary, Did You Know?" "Hard Candy Christmas." That kind
Of takes care of both the secular and the spiritual. (Yeah)
And I think those are two of my favorites
Well, they're definitely two good ones, and I say let's go
