At a fork in the road
To follow your conscience, or
Do what you've been told to
Do, like a dog
Blindly, heeding the master's call
To continue to oppress, and confuse
And lie, and distract, and divert
Resources, away from where
They're needed, the most
Listen to your heart
(What's left of it)

You pretend that it's OK
But we all know better
Make a plan, today
To get together, and
Set the record straight
We deserve an answer from
You; and not more of this
Silence, from you
Pillaging: the Earth
Pillaging: with your factories
And your products
Brainwashing, almost everyone
With your marketing schemes
Your campaigns of distorted value
Lobbying, for subsidies
While the people starve
Out there on the street
I've said it twice
I will say it again
The message stays the same
Until it changes: everything
Where are you tonight
While the people sleep, and
Do not know where to turn
To survive

I will give them all a focus
Just you wait and see

People: people everywhere
Wake up, this is your alarm call
It's time to take back what is yours
The world, and its bountiful gifts
There is not one who should
Resist, the urge to set it right
For everything, tonight
Shall come into view

And we will make them give
Give back what is ours
With interest
For what they did
The laws will change
And our story will survive
Deep into the years
To prevent a relapse
Into tyranny, and mindless
Thought control
We must defend the future
Against greed and corruption
Listen to these words, and
Formulate a way
Without violence or hate
To pressure the top
Into permanent change
Their abuse has to stop
And our society at large
Needs a new vision
Of where to turn In the dark, to
Find the light
We'll set it right
Doing what we can
Each and every one
Has within them
What is needed
To turn the wheel
Away from the cliff

Actualize your dreams
And give you every-
Thing, that you need
To accomplish all
That you desire
We all know best, for
Ourselves, what we
Need to live our lives
Let's share, and not compete
The journey is within
To give meaning to it all
And find our purposes
Both common and unique
