Lyrics Intuitive Process - Alanis Morissette

It was a highly intuitive process and
Up until we wrote Ironic
Glenn and I were writing
Music and lyrics together
And then I wrote the song Perfect
A long lyrically
And it turned into my being in the driver's seat
In terms of what the subject matters
Were for the songs
And so Glenn and I
Would write the music together
And while we were writing the music
The lyrics would just come through
And I realized that
This was the dream come true for me
To be able to
For lack of a better term
Just channel these lyrics
They came through at a mile a minute
And they were hyper autobiographical
To the point where I would
Often turn to Glenn and say
Is this ok?
And he would say do you mean it?
And I would say yes
And he would say
Then we're done
And I love him for that
