As the sun rises, I walk, searching for the laughter of my family.
I trample upon happiness, for self-interest, this is the only religion I understand.
Thinking this is my duty, searching for that innocent laughter,
wiping away those tiny tears, for the morning and evening bread.
The office is my place of worship, hoping to save a few pennies,
running with that hope, returning home by evening.
At the behest of my bosses, I find myself at the edge,
crossing this ocean of woes, as it's written on my forehead.
Education brought me nothing, in this world of flattery.
I can't fight it, willingly in this trade.
Dishonesty thrives, it seems, money grows on trees.
Those who sell their integrity, are the ones stepped on by others.
Those who only see themselves, write false narratives.
Those who look down upon the helpless, I couldn't bear it.
Society, once a friend, is now an enemy, my son complains,
"Everyone has an iPhone," he says, what have you given me?
