'Cause I cannot stand the thought of her forgetting that she's stunning
And I'm always thinking bout it, writing songs or when I'm running
So at school I'm on piano singing, tryna serenade her
And I'm hoping when she's not so busy I can see her later
But I call a couple times and I don't seem to get an answer
And I start to get the picture, I'm a problem, she's a dancer
And she's dancing round her problems like they're getting in her way
I don't like to be annoying so I'm not about to stay
And lately every time I call her beautiful she says I'm joking
And I guess the truth is hurtful 'cause my heart's a little broken
