Stephen the Levite - Entering and Breaking Lyrics

Lyrics Entering and Breaking - Stephen the Levite

Yeah, I let the rhythm hit em
Then we get in 'em wit theological lyricism
If their willin' to listen
I'm not against offending 'em when it comes with the mission a little something different
Something there's not a lot of, I'm not a teeny bopper
Copping Yo Gabba Gabba, garbage pop is not my genre
They want a lot of drama, they follow wannabe collar poppers on Twitter while I, talk like somebody papa
I ain't afraid of aging, the grey has made it's way in
I'm waitin' for the day they display in facial arrangement
See the break bend? It's to make you patient
The daily sanctification be way too great to take in
So I ain't rushin' nothin', I'm already crushin'
Under too much of what is coming, hustlin' bustling
Strugglin' just to bring the bucks in
A bigger income because I spit is such an assumption
There's not enough consumption
They call us the starvin' artists, We bargain charges
And bartar for honorariums all in order to feed our daughters
Before maturing we did it for quarters (i can dig it) all we wanted was opportunity and bottled waters
Now as Father I can't afford it, it's getting harder
Even to go beyond the borders I'm a need a sponsor
When you get honest some people want ya to (shut yo mouth)
Talking dollars in our genre can make us social martyrs
Some people don't wanna pay you 'cause you proclaim truth
And call it ministry like a ministry doesn't take loot
That's like a tree that don't take root, but makes fruit
It must full of some funny fake juice or it ain't true
Speaking of taste I'm amazed at what the radio plays
I know we say we're depraved, but the display is insane
It makes me angry (be cool now)
I'm ok, but the way it decays is what I'm afraid to see
That's why I'm tryin' to leave a legacy classics
Something that my children can listen to when I'm past tense
They can call it ramblin', rantin' about some randomness
But later they will know I was standin' up for a standard quit laughin' (I ain't jiving) this is real as gets
Can I be honest? Will I feel the regret
Can God be honored when I'm livin' in debt?
If my song isn't theological enough am I offensive to heads?
Does lyrical theology gotta be lofty
To cause the people to stop and think of our God and His awesome deeds?
Would you rather not to think and be off drinkin'
Stopped peepin' soon as it plot deepened your thoughts weakened?
Is there room to make everybody mad
Avoid the body bag and make heathens say that he bodies tracks?
Will they buy these tracks or sleep and wait
I'm askin' too many questions Wes, I need a break
