I wanna play the ones you want, and the way that you want me to
Because I feel like I always get bummed when, like
I go to a concert and someone's like
"Here's my favorite song," or, "Here's your favorite song of mine"
"And I'm gonna, like, totally mess it up"
Um, but, I also, if you've seen me at other shows
I don't wanna play the exact same show
So, I decided with this one, it's important to a lot of people
It's been in their weddings, um
I decided with this one, I would play it exactly the way I wrote it
Which I've never done
So, I'll take, I'll take you back to how it happened

I'm at 1506 Paris Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee, 37212
Don't go there, I don't still live there
Uh, I'm looking out the guest bedroom window
Which is where I wrote songs when we lived in that house
And I had this verse, I'd had it for several months
It went like this

I'll be your rainy day lover
Whenever the sunny days end
And whatever the weather, we have each other
And that's how the story will end

That was a good verse, you know
I was happy with it
But it's like, it's like thirty seconds and you need more than that for a song
And so, sometimes when I'm stuck songwriting
I'll kinda like, try to picture what the song sounds like to me
Like, what place it takes me to
Um, I like thinking pictures a lot
How many of you guys watch "Yellowstone"?
I too watch "Yellowstone"
It is terrible
I hope we can agree on that
Um, no, it's entertaining
But, imagine "Yellowstone," but like, a hundred years earlier
That's what I was imagining years back when I wrote this song
So, I'll paint the scene for you

We're out, okay?
We're out in the wild west
But it's not day, it's night
Now, tonight, we got a few clouds here
But on this day, there were no clouds
It was just beautiful stars everywhere
