paroles de chanson The Haunted House - Charles Aznavour

I am not a superstitious guy
I don't beliave that witches fly
Nobody fools me
I keep my feet upon the ground
My brain is clear, my mind is
My reason rules me
But lately I began to doubt
What sanity is all about
I've seen such strange things
It's like a ghost has come to town
To turn my whole world upside down
To rearrange things
A spirit in a woman's shape
From whom there's simply no escape
She never leaves me
I close my eyes but she's still there
I swear to God, she's everywhere
But who believes me
I can't believe my ears and eyes
The ghost besounds the sudden choirs
It's so confusing
The scattered clothes of the flying place
The utter "Ha-ha" she creates
It's not amusing
Sometimes it would step in the hall
Sometime the shadow on the wall
That stays for hours
Sometimes her lingerin' parfume
A sudden fragrance in the room
That send her flowers
At dead of night she comes to me
In sleep she keeps me company
How close she holds me
I feel her breath upon my face
I feel the heat of her embrace
Her loving folds me
She has the mischief of a child
She knows the ways to drive me wild
Look how she taunts me
This ghostly love
This ghost I worship more and more
The more she haunts me
And though she tears my life apart
She's cast a spell across my heart
She's my opsession
I need to see her everyday
I long for night that I might stay in her posession
In her posession
The best of all and most of all
Is that she's not a ghost at all
But all the truth
Although she seems a fantasy
She's flesh and blood the same as me
She lives beside me
She lives inside me
My ghost is you
