Słońce wstaje, złocą się gnojówki,
W rosy mgle ogródki i dachówki;

Szewc wystawia warsztat na podwórze
Kroi nożem stopę w twardej skórze...

Byleby biedy nie wpuścić za próg
Zrobię wszystko, co będę mógł:

Na zapleczu szynku huczą beczki,
U rzeźnika pierwszy krzyk owieczki.
