Moving On

I learn my lessons in a different plane than this
I feel different pain than this
But the thing that's crazy is
I'm moving on
I caught a beam of light and then I say to it
God knows only I can hurt me only I can play me kid

I know no weapon formed against me makes a difference
I'm protected
I'm assisted
I'm a legend
I'm so distant
Full of venom
Always hissin'
I can't let 'em stop my mission
Always shine I always glisten
All my life felt so indifferent
So insistent
Not worth living
Woke up, realized I'm so gifted
I was trippin'
I was missin'
I was hiding behind rage and falsities
I was off it on the train to Albany
Thought I heard someone talk to me
I stopped and looked and realized all the seats were empty
Someones stalking me
I think there's something haunting me
(I look around and all the trees are dead)
But it was all in me
The wounded warrior comes across the sky and I fall to pieces again
I pick them up and make them into pictures of my peace
My pen writes verses
I just scratch the surface to see you'll have to dive in
I persecuted every version of myself that was pretend
And I know that I did you wrong I hope that we can make amends
It'll take more than a song but I got some to say 'til then

The crab looks at me from the moon and picks me up inside it's claws
My damaged youth comes out to play and I'm like boy who pissed you off
