The Irish Rovers - Marvelous Toy paroles de chanson

paroles de chanson Marvelous Toy - The Irish Rovers

when i was just a wee little lad full of health and joy
one year for christmas i recieved a marvelous little toy
a wonder to behold it was
with many colors bright
and the moment that i set eyes on it
it give me hearts delight
and it went zoom when it moved
up when it stopped
whirr when it stood still
i never knew just what it was
i guess i never will
from the moment that i picked it up
i had a big surprise
for right on his bottom were two big buttons
that looked like big green eyes
well the first pushed one
and then the other
and then i twisted it limbs
and when i set it down again
well this is what it did
it whet zoom when it moved
up when it stopped
whirr when it stood still
i never knew just what it was
and i guess i never will
the first marched left and then marched right
and then marched under a chair
and when i looked where it had gone
it wasnt even there
i started to cry
and daddy laughed
for he knew that i would find
when i turned around that marvelous toy
came a chugging from behind
it whet zoom when it moved
up when it stopped
whirr when it stood still
i never knew just what it was
and i guess i never will
and it went zoomed when it moved
up when it stopped
whirr when it stood still
i never new just what it was
and i guess i never will
well the years have passed
so quickly it seems
now i have me own little boy
and yesterday i gave to him
that marvelous little toy
well his eyes nearly popped
right out of his head
and he gave a squeal of glee
neither oneof us knows just what it is
but he loves it just like me
and it went zoom when it moved
up when it stopped
whirr when it stood still
i never knew just what it was
and i guess i never will
and it went zoom when it moved
up when it stopped
whirr when it stood still
i never knew just what it was
and i guess i never will
