paroles de chanson Playing Guitar For Brian Wilson (Commentary) - Vince Gill
Years
ago
I
was
asked
to,
um
Be
a
guest
on
a
tribute
to
Brian
Wilson
And
this
is
one
of
the
greatest
musical
minds
That
will
ever
live
And
they
asked
me
to
sing
"Warmth
of
the
Sun"
And
I
said,
"Okay
I-I
know
that
song
That's
a
pretty
song,
I,
I'll
handle
that"
And
then
they
said,
"And
we
also
want
you
to
do
'Surf's
Up"
And
to
be
honest,
I
did
not
know
"Surf's
Up"
I
didn't
know
the
song
the
song
at
all
I
thought
it
was
"surfs
up
baby,
everybody
surf"
I
thought
it
was
something
up
and
fun
'Cause
they
had
me
doing
a
pretty
ballad
And
then
I
got
the
recording
of
"Surf's
Up"
And
I,
man,
I
hit
the
wall,
I
said,
I
can't,
this
is
This
is
way
above
my
pay
grade
And,
I
called
Larry,
my
manager
I
said,
"Man,
this
too
hard
There
is
no
way,
this
stuff
is
so
out
and
so
different"
And
ah,
he
said,
"give
it
a,
just
give
it
a
chance"
I
put
the
hours
in
I
put
days
in
and
I,
I
really
worked
hard
on
it
And,
and
I
pulled
it
off
I
did
it
with
David
Crossby
and
Jimmy
Web,
great
songwriter
And
walked
off
stage
And
that
was
about
as,
as
frightened
as
I've
ever
been
In
New
York
City,
Radio
City
Music
Hall
Singing
something
this
difficult,
you
know
It
was
like
an
aria
from,
from
some
orchestra
piecel
Or
something,
all
the
movements
were
so,
so
different
And
I
pulled
it
off,
and
I,
I
accomplished
it
And
I
walked
off
stage,
and
Brian
was
waiting
He
says,
"That
was
amazing"
He
says,
"You
know
that
song
has
never
been
performed
live
before"
I
said,
"Really,
why
not?"
He
goes,
"Way
too
hard"
I
said,
"Thanks
a
lot"
But
you
know,
at
the
end
of
the
day
When
you,
you
know
If
you
work
a
little
harder
You'll
be,
you'll
be
grateful
you
put
the
time
in,
you
know
