The butterflies I used to get had dissipated long ago
They've been replaced with spiders
Crawl around inside my stomach, make me nauseous as I'm pining for the old times
Back in the beginning, run around in muddy creeks
Picking rocks and pinching cheeks, here we are, love
The world around has crumbled and I'm lying in my blood
Meteors are falling, lava channels leaking
Everything has gone to hell and now I'm left to reminisce
About our souls leaving to another world beyond this
Ozone is broken and the ice caps are melting
Debris from corporate buildings crushing those with corporate degrees

But in the end, if you can't laugh, then what do you really have?

Find another civic, explore dilapidation
Help repopulate the world, start our own new nation

It's true we won't survive, we're bound to meet our ends
But maybe we can make them happy if we made amends
