All I Recall

Jimmy said, He found me close to death
After a week of sleep, And nothing to eat
Said my eyes were black, And my skin was grey
I was covered in clouds, And I'd lost my way

My mum came, From around the world
Said she'd lost her, Little girl
Said I didn't smile, I was thinner than ice
Nowhere bound, And not very nice

But all I recall
Is someone said
Man don't you look good
I was skin and bones
And so misunderstood

The doctors came, Gave me drugs
Said they'll help me smile, With a little luck
And therapy, To talk it out
But I didn't know, What to talk about

And my dad called, Said I spoke in tongues
Didn't know which way, didn't know which one
He said I cried, Till I couldn't breathe
And there wasn't light, That I could see

But all I recall
Is someone said
Man don't you look great
I was skin and bones
And darker than a slate
