We suffer from a slight case of idolatry, absence and apology with a side of atrocity

However, we fill it with other things and make them our gods
See, the word idolatry comes from the Greek word ideolateria

And besides my pronunciation, what's even scarier is that it's a compound of two words
Image or figure and worship
Worshiping a figure

Well, the dictionary defines idolatry as not only the religious worship of idols, but also
Excessive or blind admiration, reverence or devotion
Not just a statue that looks like Satan
And our music helps set that in motion

Don't see the connection

Synonyms include glorification, homage, worship and praise

So examine your next phrase
False gods and goddesses are esteemed in affection and regarded with delight

A god is what controls you
Or in other words, the reason behind doing what you do
Will change for everybody
But the one true living God, and I don't need a love song to prove that's true

King Asa took courage and put away the idols
It takes courage to recognize we've been worshipping idols
Furthermore, those that worship the idols provoke the God's wrath
But he is God alone

That means one, so you do the math
He deserves all the glory, not just half
He said, I am the Lord, your God, turn ye not unto idols
And yet we have

Nevertheless, a proper perspective and priorities is what needs to be had
Likewise, don't be sad if you can see your run-ins with idolatry temporarily
Repent and move forward, for this is my new philosophy and thesis
No one should be your everything except Jesus

Is worthy to be praised but Jesus
And needless to say, your mate ain't Jesus
So the next time you worship or hear one of them songs, just think about Jesus, cause
That's where all worship belongs
