What's this?
I feel my stomach cramp
As if it's being stabbed
Though this excruciating pain
I fall to my knees, coughing at the floor
When suddenly
I feel that same force of energy
Pulsating through me again
After this, I pass out face-first into the ground
Unconscious

Several minutes pass
And I awake to see my old self
Lying on the ground across from me
Quickly, I force myself to get up
And retrieve my blade
As I walk towards my old self
Through his breath, he says to me
"Even if you kill me now
I will always be here
Haunting the back of your mind
You will never get rid of me"
After staring him in the eyes
For what felt like an eternity
I wield my blade and raise it above my head
In a downward-striking position
He laughs
And before he gets to utter another word
I plunge my blade
All the way through his stomach
He lets out one last gasp of pain
While grabbing at my blade
I look into his eyes and say
"You won't haunt me anymore"
With the blood spilling and pooling around us
I rip the blade out of his stomach
As I watch him turn to dust
And blow away in the wind
Fully accepting myself
I tied up my last loose end
