It was a nice, hot, summer day
Just hanging, drinking, speaking to my friend
I thought I heard somebody say
"What a day, I wish that it would end"

I didn't mind at first, what could I do?
Didn't want to make a big mistake
Though I never heard a voice so blue
I could understand that it's about a heart ache

I turn around and look around me
I see your face and lose my mind
Got so lost, I was trying
To say some words that now I can't find

There were some words that came out
I can't remember exactly what I said
You asked me laughing: "Are you alright?"
Somebody answered that I'm lost in my head

You said "It's cute, but I should leave"
You didn't finish I said: "Hi, I'm Steve!"
You laughed a little and walked away
"I'll tell you my name if we meet another day"

Then I turn towards my friend
He asked me: "Bro, what will you do?"
I thought a little then I turned again
I tried to find you but you were gone, gone

Hours, days and weeks and months have passed
I went everyday to the same place
Didn't see you, think I should've guessed
That this was just another stupid chase

I thought that there would be another day
When you will come and tell me your name
A day that I can call you at least a friend
But what a day, I wish that it would end

But then somebody came around and
Asked me: "Hey, having a bad day?"
I didn't even turn around to see
Who was speaking cause I didn't want to stay
