Szturmują bramy! Kłódek trzask!
Ze wszystkich stron rozgrzane twarze!
Straż puszcza pod naciskiem mas!
Wpadają w chłodne korytarze

Gną się parkiety pod naporem,
Zrośnięte otwierają drzwi,
Wśród rzeźb, obrazów i ubiorów
Z przepisów barwna ciżba drwi
I woła - Wzoru! Wzoru! Wzoru!
Muzeum wszystkich nie pomieści,
Więc idą przez pamiątek zbiór,
A ci, co raz już całość przeszli,
Z powrotem zamykają sznur
Wołając - "Treści! Treści! Treści!"
Patrzą na szable, katafalki,
Procesje zamienionych w lód,
Błamy sztandarów rozpostartych,
Wybrzmiałych pieśni zwoje nut
I krzyczą - Walki! Walki! Walki!
I cisza tej zapada miary
Gdy nagle wiedzą, czego chcą
Ci, którym przeznaczono mary,
A którzy o swe życie drżą,
Ale wołają - Wiary!
- Ofiary... - echem mury drwią.

Storm

Storming the gates with thunderous clashes!
Faces aglow, advancing from every quarter!
Guards yield to the force of the surging masses,
Who surge through cool halls, their voices chanting
"It's time! Time's come! It's time!"
Parquet floors groan beneath the press of numbers,
Doors creak open, fused with age,
Amidst statues, paintings, and precious garments,
The throng flouts rules with vibrant rage,
Their voices thundering, "Patterns! Patterns! Patterns!"
The museum's vaults can't hold them all,
So they march on, a tide of humanity,
And those who've traversed the whole vast span,
Join the procession, turning back to see
"Essence! Essence! Essence!"
They gaze upon swords and funeral biers,
Processionals frozen in time's cold grip,
Faded banners hanging in disrepair,
Musical scores, their melodies now still
And cry, "Battles! Battles! Battles!"
And silence falls upon the scene
As they grasp the truth of their desire,
Those doomed to sail on seas of dreams,
Their lives a flickering, fading fire,
Yet still they cry, "Belief!"
The walls echo back, "-Sacrifice..."
