It's interesting to find that a promoter 20 years ago
You knew they weren't doing it as a career
They were doing it for passion
Because there wasn't much money in it
You meet somebody nowdays
Who says they're a promoter or a DJ or involved in it
And their decision might have completely business-based

I think money and success in any art bastardizes it
Like a typical story
Real true art and real creative energy
Creates hype for a community and creates interest
And then somebody sees that and sees dollar signs
And then they run in and they bastardize

Money and success

People don't have time to develop
Who they are over years
It takes time to build your, your personality
Your voice, your experience
Of being able to play music in different environments
Different crowds, different nights, different vibes
Everything

And I, so I don't know, I think when it becomes and industry
There's a lot of decsions that are made based on success and money
Versus forwarding the culture
This music is body music

So do this because you really love this music
Do this because you love the experience of playing it and hearing it
And do it for a long time without any expectations
If you do something you love, truely love long enough
It's gonna give abck to you in some way
Maybe it's not financial, maybe it's not successful
In the projected vision of success of "This is Your Life"
But it will give back to you
