እንጀራ ልንበላ አልተከተልንህም
ሃብት ብልጥግና ወደ አንተ አልጠራንም
ለምድር በረከት ታይቶ ለሚጠፋ
መች ደምህ ፈሰሰ ለሚያልፍ ተስፋ
የዘላለም ሕይወት ማግኘታችን ጉዳይ
ሁሌም ብርቃችን ነው ከምን ጋር ሊተያይ
ሕይወት ያካፈልከን ኢየሱስ አንተ ነህ
ሌላ አላየንም በነፍሱ የጨከነ

ግን ዛሬ ሲመጣ በየአደባባዩ
ትኩረት የሚፈልግ የሚል እኔን እዩ
አንተን አደብዝዞ ራሱን የሚያጐላ
አባብሎ ወሰደን ሆነናል ተላላ

አቤቱ ሕዝብህን መልሰን
ሳንጠፋ ቀድመህ ድረስልን
አቤቱ ልጆችህን አስበን
ከድፍረት ከውድቀት ታደገን

በጐ በሚመስል ሃሳብ እየተሳበ
በመልካም ንግግር ሕዝብ ተሰበሰበ
ዓመጸ ማይከለክል የረሳ ፍርድህን
እራሳችንን እንዳናይ አደንዝዞ አሰረን
በዘመን ፍጻሜ ጫፍ ላይ ቆመን ሳለን
ልባችን እንዳያይ ምንው ተደለለ
ዘይታችንን እንሙላ ጊዜው ሳይገባደድ
ፈጥነን እንመለስ ከሄድንበት መንገድ

አቤቱ ሕዝብህን መልሰን
ሳንጠፋ ቀድመህ ድረስልን
አቤቱ ልጆችህን አስበን
ከድፍረት ከውድቀት ታደገን

We did not follow you to eat Injera
We did not call you for your wealth and beauty
Pour out your blessing on the earth that will not last
Let your blood sprinkle on the one who will pass away
Our only concern is to have eternal life
Our conscience always convicts us of what to do
Jesus, you are the one who saved our life
We never saw anyone else who suffered like you

Yet, why do you seek attention
In every corner whenever you come
You praise yourself and show us off
Trapped and taken away, we became liars

Father, bring back your people
Before we perish, reach us
Father, guide your children
That we may rise from poverty and downfall

Wandering with deceitful intentions
Your good speech gathered the people
Stop delaying, bring forth your judgement
Blinding us so that we would not see ourselves
We are standing at the end of an era
Why should not our hearts see so that they may repent?
Let us fill our lamps before the time is up
Let us quickly return from the path we took
