خداوندا از چه دوزخ را آفریده ای
دوری رو که داشتی

چه می سوزی زآتش افروزی تا غم عشقی در دلم گذاشتی
خداوندا تا سحرهر شب مست و مدهوشم با دلی شکسته
نه راهی تا بال و پر گیرم زین قفس دیگر با دو بال بسته

به میخونه با می و مینا گفتگو دارم شب ز بی پناهی
تو می دونی خورده سنگ غم از جهان عمری دل ز بی گناهی
به محشر هم دامنت گیرم پرسم ای خالق حاصل از وجودم
در این دنیا هم در آن دنیا این چنین سوزی از چه تارو پودم

O God, why have you created hell?
You have kept me away from you.

Why do you burn with the fire of love?
My God, every night until dawn I am drunk and unconscious.
there is no way for me to fly away from this cage with my two broken wings.

At the tavern, I talk to the wine and the cup at night because I am homeless.
You know that the stone of sorrow has eaten away at my heart for a lifetime because I am innocent.
On the Day of Judgement, I will hold on to your skirt and ask, "O Creator, what is the purpose of my existence?"
Why did you create me to burn like this in this world and the next?
