Back when I started writing, they said I'm a God at rhyming
There was a lot of times when help from them was all I had and

Surface of my hopes of rapping, it's become a solo challenge

The only problem that I have is I don't know which way to go

But to my surprise, for once in my life, they say they don't know

But I don't wanna go into the wilderness alone
I'm scared that I won't make it home and that is not what I envisioned
But since I ascended, I can't ask for help from down below no more
But homie, that's how people would describe progression

It's hard to neglect the ones that were always there to respect the songs
And in time they would protect me from all the doubt that the music projected on
And in turn, I'd create a better project, so when I'm on stage and I step in concerts
I need to look out at all the people watching and remember the reasons why I've got them
How come they care so much? When I ain't there so much
They told me "Sam, go nuts" and yes, I know I'm very tough
I know that I'll wreck them, look at the people my life stems from
I know I'll do better with my next one, I just need help with direction

Ask them to provide some help because my mind has piles of questions

And I know the heights that I can hit but there's also advice that you can't give
I guess life got me stranded, so all I can do is write with my black pen
