But as you know, it wasn't always like this
In order to be big, I had to persist

The only thing I knew was the mainstream crap

Next thing do I know, I'm hooked on hip-hop
It wasn't enough for me to listen to rhymes
I had to be rapper, producin' and spittin' lines
So I copped some music, then I copped some more
Now I got enough music to open up a store
But it wasn't enough, I needed more knowledge
I feel like a student puttin' myself through college
Crafting song after song just lookin' for a hit
Then I threw em in the trash cause they sounded like shit

I've been spending more money than what I have
