We are playing all the songs off the album for you, and

I gotta be honest, there are some song on here that maybe some people might think
"Oh, you know, that was a curve ball or
The sound of that, maybe," this one actually kinda caught me by surprise
Because it's perhaps one of the more country sounding songs
On here, in terms of fiddle and throwback
It reminded me of kinda Alabama throwback
"Drink A Little Beer", which features your dad on there
And he also had a hand in writing that, so
I mean talk to me about this song and the fact that
In some ways, I mean it's almost like blending his 90s career
With where you are today

Yeah, I think it's hilarious that
I think it kinda proves that we've curved out enough of a lane in this genre
For that to be the weirdest song on the record
(It kinda shocked me) I think like
That's such a funny, and I think that's why I cut it 'cause I think
I love just making people be like, "Wow"
Like "I was definitely not expecting that"
And this is one of those ones that I think, I know for a fact when people hear this record
When they get to that song they're gonna think, "I cannot believe that this track is on here"
And so, it's nice to just dive back in to what I grew up listening to
And actually cut an original song that has such an ode to like 70s and 80s country
And especially to have my dad, who that's when he grew up
Uhm, to have a song like that with him on it
That basically describes why he loves country music in the first place
And so the song is cool, and the song is super catchy
And I think it'll be a really great song live, but more so than that
It's just, you know, as old as I get
I can always say that me and my dad sang a song together on my record

Well, and I was gonna ask, the end is kinda fun
And somebody described to me, "Oh, wait the Alan Jackson moment's gonna be coming"
So did you guys just sorta leave the tape rolling or was that planned?
Like, "Hey, we're just gonna riff at the end of this song"

Well, you know when the song ends it goes into that double time section at the end
Which is such as staple of that time or period
And also was the guy talking over the outro
And so like we decided that we were just kinda gonna go back and forth, and
You know jab at each other a little bit, and it was just really, really fun
Yeah, I loved your dad's line, "I taught you everything you know, but not everything I know"
Exactly, I'm pretty sure he stole that from someone
I'm sure he did, but he'll never tell you who
Well, again it's called "Drink A Little Beer" it features Thomas's dad Rhett Akins

Je dois t'avouer qu'il y a quelques chansons sur cet album que certaines personnes pourraient trouver

Parce que c'est peut-être l'une des chansons les plus country
Sur cet album, en termes de violon et de retour en arrière
Elle m'a rappelé un peu le style country d'Alabama
« Drink A Little Beer », qui met en scène ton père dessus
Et il a également participé à l'écriture de cette chanson, alors
Parle-moi de cette chanson et du fait que
D'une certaine manière, c'est presque comme si on mélangeait sa carrière des années 90
Avec où tu en es aujourd'hui

Ouais, je trouve ça hilarant que
Je pense que ça prouve qu'on s'est fait une place assez importante dans ce genre
Pour que ce soit la chanson la plus étrange de l'album
(C'était un peu choquant pour moi) Je pense que c'est comme
C'est tellement drôle, et je pense que c'est pour ça que je l'ai enregistré parce que je pense que
J'adore simplement faire en sorte que les gens disent :« Wow »
Genre « Je ne m'attendais vraiment pas à ça »
Et c'est l'une de celles où je pense, je sais avec certitude que quand les gens entendront cet album
Quand ils arriveront à cette chanson, ils vont penser :« Je n'arrive pas à croire que ce morceau est sur cet album »
Et donc, c'est bien de replonger dans ce que j'ai écouté en grandissant
Et d'enregistrer une chanson originale qui est un véritable hommage à la country des années 70 et 80
Et surtout d'avoir mon père, qui a grandi à cette époque
Euh, d'avoir une chanson comme ça avec lui dessus
Qui décrit essentiellement pourquoi il aime la musique country en premier lieu
Et donc la chanson est cool, et la chanson est super accrocheuse
Et je pense que ce sera une très bonne chanson en live, mais plus que ça
C'est juste que, tu sais, plus je vieillis
Je peux toujours dire que mon père et moi avons chanté une chanson ensemble sur mon album

Eh bien, et j'allais te demander, la fin est assez amusante
Et quelqu'un m'a décrit :« Oh, attends, le moment Alan Jackson arrive »
Alors, est-ce que vous avez juste laissé la bande tourner, ou était-ce prévu ?
Genre :« Hé, on va juste improviser à la fin de cette chanson »

Eh bien, tu sais quand la chanson se termine, elle passe à cette section en double tempo à la fin
Ce qui est un élément essentiel de cette époque ou de cette période
