Текст песни Life Changes (Commentary) - Thomas Rhett
You're
listening
to
the
Thomas
Rhett
Life
Changes
album
release
special
I'm
talking
to
Thomas
Rhett
all
about
the
album
And
we
have
come
to
one
of
my
absolute
favorite
songs
on
your
album
I
cannot
stop
listening
to
this
song,
it
is
the
title
track
It's
Life
Changes
and
there's
such
a
great
groove
to
it,
but
the
lyrics
are
so
perfect
And
I
mean,
I
would
like
to
believe
that
you
just
sort
of
sat
down
And
very
effortlessly
scribbled
this
out
And
yet,
I
find
sometimes
the
songs
that
sound
the
simplest,
you
maybe
had
to
work
a
little
harder
So,
I'm
curious
how
simple
was
this
song?
(Yeah)
Because
I
mean,
it
is
literally
your
life
in
three
minutes
Yeah,
this
song
was
tough
because
there
were
more
moments
like
that
That
you
have
to
kind
of
put
them
all
on
paper
and
be
like
Well,
these
20
things
I
felt
like
shaped
who
I
am
today
over
the
last
five
years
And
so
we
picked
three
of
those
and
wrote
three
different
verses
about
them
That
I
thought
were
the
most
just
life-changing
moments
That
really
I
felt
like
one
thing
led
to
another
thing
and
ultimately
led
me
here
So,
it's
a
tough
song
to
write
because
when
you
talk
about
certain
things
of
like
I
had
no
idea
what
I
wanted
to
do
in
college
and
then
You
know,
thank
God
he
smacked
me
in
the
face
and
said,
you're
going
to
write
songs
And
then
everyone
told
me,
he's
like,
dude,
you're
22,
please
don't
get
married
yet
I
remember
that
Not
in
a
malicious
way
Just
dude,
your
career
is
just
starting
Like
why?
Why
would
you
do
that
now?
And
you're
so
young
If
you
love
her
now,
you'll
love
her
when
it's
a
better
time
(exactly)
But
I
just,
it
was
just
in
my
gut
It
was
like,
this
needs
to
happen
now
And
it
did,
and
it
completely
altered
my
life
forever
And
then,
you
know,
going
on
and
kind
of
in
the
back
of
our
minds
Thinking
that
there
was
something
wrong
with
one
of
us
because
that
we
couldn't
have
children
And
so
then,
you
know,
learning
that,
okay,
well,
maybe
we
were
supposed
to
adopt
And
that's
maybe
all
of
our
children
are
supposed
to
be
adopted
children
And
so
we
adopted
Willa
and
halfway
through
that
Lauren
got
pregnant
And
so
like,
it's
just
so
many
crazy
things
that
we
kind
of
just
followed
our
gut
and
tried
to
do
I
guess
what
was
the
right
thing
in
that
moment
And
it,
you
know,
it
led
us
to
where
we
are
now
So,
definitely
one
of
my
favorite
songs
to
write
And
definitely
probably
the
most
personal
song
that
I
have
allowed
people
to
listen
to
And
it
is
so
infectious
and
such
an
earworm
I
mean,
I
could,
you
know,
recite
the
lines
after
the
first
time
I
heard
it
And
now
I,
one
of
my
favorite
lines
in
there,
where
you
say
She,
Lauren
now
has
her
own
fans
and
she's
got
a
little
blue
check
by
her
Instagram
Which,
which
was
just
so
clever
to
me
I'm-,
one
thing
that
it
made
me
think
about
is
Talk
to
me
a
minute
about
how
gracefully
she
has
managed
your
celebrity
And
coming
into
her
own
celebrity
because
I
mean
She
seems
still
as
one
of
the
most
unaffected,
genuine,
sweet
people
that
is
just
taking
it
as
it
comes
Yeah,
I
think
every
time
I
say
this,
it
comes
across
weird
But
I
think
one
of
the
best
things
about
Lauren
is
that
she
truly
doesn't
get
affected
by
much
Fame,
she
could
care
less
about
Money
she
could
care
less
about
Meeting
famous
people
she
could
care
less
about
She's
such
a
normal
person
And
I
think
in
the
back
of
her
mind,
she
knows
that
everyone
else
is
a
normal
person
Somewhere
deep
down
inside
And
so
I
think
that
the
way
that
how
she's
handled
all
this
stuff
is
because
she
truly
is
just
like
Well,
this
is
what's
happening
You
know?
And
she
just
takes
it
as
it
comes
And
I'm
the
opposite
Like,
if
there
is
a
moment
to
freak
out
in
a
situation,
I
will
freak
out
If
something
is
not
going
how
I
thought
it
was
gonna
go,
I'm
immediately
like,
what
did
I
do
wrong?
Lauren's
like,
babe,
it's
fine,
like
don't
worry
about
it
Just
go
do
the
thing
The
show's
going
to
be
fine
Everything's
going
to
be
fine
And
so,
the
Lord
knew
that
I
needed
somebody
like
that
in
my
life
Because
I
don't
know
where
I
would
be
without
her
But
it's
just
amazing
that
her
just
being
her
I
think
is
what
people
just
love
about
her,
is
that
never
wears
makeup
I
mean,
she's
always
just
like
first
thing
in
the
morning,
like,
today
we're
eating
Cheerios
You
know
like
that
kind
of
thing
And
so
I
think
people
really
just
know
how
to
relate
to
Lauren,
so
Yeah,
I
love
the
song
I
love
the
lyrics
And
I
love
that
it
is
the
title
track
because
it
can
be
taken
in
so
many
different
ways
Life
changes
as
a
noun
or
life
changes
as
a
verb
(yeah)
And
I
encourage
people
to
get
to
know
these
lyrics
Because
you're
going
to
be
hearing
this
song,
"I
Have
a
Feeling"
on
the
radio
more
than
just
right
now
