Looking out my bedroom window to find it raining
Thoughts of you instantly fill my mind
It's 1:26 pm and according to my calculations
I have been asleep for 13 hours

Wiping the sleep from my eyes I stumble to the bathroom to wash up
Feeling groomed
I opened the refrigerator door to find an ice-cold jar of grape
Juice begging to be drank so I pour myself a glass

Now comes the hardest decision of the day
Whether to watch television or to listen to the stereo
Needless to say I chose to listen to the stereo

So with glass in hand I proceeded to the living room
Once there I tuned the stereo to 1029fm The Quiet Storm
Where a lovely ballad was playing

I turned the heater and lay on the sofa sipping the grape juice
At this point you were very much on my mind
So I went to the bedroom to write Thoughts flowed like water
Somehow I managed to capture some of them in the form of a song

They didn't come to me in any order just at random
All of a sudden I could hear no rain and the thoughts stopped
And I glanced down at my glass and found only a drop of grape juice left

Just then the weather report came over the stereo
The woman who reported highs in the 80's with no chance of showers
Sounded exactly like you

I drew the blinds on my bedroom window to find no sign of rain
But instead the sun was high
There was a definite chill in the air and I could even hear it at my front door

Just then I looked at my bedroom clock to find it was 1:27 pm
