While black wings circle above a rotting existence
Waiting for the listless to finally succumb to the weight of stillness

Bending to thrones, deceived by hope
We believe there to be any meaning
Slitting the throats of the trodden and lame
Insatiable hunger for self-righteous gain
All for nothing

Alone we walk in a forsaken world
