Asaint feat. Josh Powell & Corrie Robinson - Beautiful Testimony Lyrics

Lyrics Beautiful Testimony - Asaint, Josh Powell & Corrie Robinson

As the warm summer breeze hits Jill's face.
As the sun sets on anther day.
She gets home and feels the love from an embrace.
Then she sees the smile on her child's face.
It gives her inspiration during hard days
When she wants to give up and just fly away.
Cause all the bills are due and the moneys low.
She just a single mother tryna make it on her own.
She didn't plan for her life to go down this road.
18 with a child to raise on her own.
18 with her dreams placed on hold.
But through it all she feels a peace down in her soul.
She heard of Jesus before but really didn't know Him.
She started praying once the pregnancy started showing.
And then her faith started growing.
The beginning of a beautiful testimony.
Though there's scars along the way, and my heart is filled with pain.
Age to age you stay the same, I know I don't press on in vain.
There's more to life than what I see, I know your hand is guiding me.
I know this struggle is gonna to be, a beautiful testimony.
Jack was a rich kid grew up in a wealthy home.
Had a stay at home mom, dad was always gone.
His daddy drove trucks always on the road.
So Jack had learned to be a man on his own.
At every baseball game all the fans cheered.
Jack filters through the crowd hoping dad is there,
but his father's never there.
Over the years anger and bitterness builds up towards his parent.
Dad substitutes his money for quality time
With his son, in his mind he thinks it's justified,
Meanwhile Jack lashes out due to pain.
His mothers a believer so she's been praying.
For reconciliation, divine intervention.
His dad was forced to retire and take out his pension.
Now he's home with his son, recapturing lost moments.
Jill's faith led her to apply for college.
She gotta scholarship that helps single parent mothers.
Jacks dad encouraged him to pursue his dreams,
in baseball which led him to UNT.
The school that Jill felt she should attend.
Jack saw her during lunch on campus.
She was sitting by herself and he saw that she was lonely
The beginning of a beautiful testimony.
Though there's scars along the way, and my heart is filled with pain.
Age to age you stay the same, I know I don't press on in vain.
There's more to life than what I see, I know your hand is guiding me.
I know this struggle is gonna to be, a beautiful testimony.
Being completly honest about our stories is really hard
but, that's what makes it beautiful.
When we share the realness of what God has done
it gives Him the glory that He deserves.
