D$ - K-12 Lyrics

Lyrics K-12 - D$

Yeah, okay
Turn me up, turn me up, turn me up
Look okay, yeah
Kindergarten, first day, to my momma, yeah, I cried
She said, "You gon' be just fine, you a big boy, wipe yo' eyes."
"If you can do that for me, son, then mommy's got you a surprise,"
And i was doing so good 'til it was time to say goodbye
First grade, real quiet, tryna act like I was shy
That's when I started telling jokes, daddy said, "Don't tell no lies."
Smallest kid in the class, they used to tease me bout my size
If you ain't help pass out my cupcakes, you was not one of the guys
Second grade, i had a crush, think her name was Alexis
Passing notes back and forth, wasn't focused on the lesson
Wasn't focused on my work, wasn't focused on my testing
Man, I been a lover boy, never scared to show affection
Third grade, Angry Birds on my backpack, on my fit
Loving school, great grades, was the smartest little jit
Played soccer, favorite sport, never thought that I would quit
Rico told me, "A nigga touch you, no excuse, you better hit."
Fourth grade, field day, I was the fastest on the track
Momma told me when I'm running that I bet not look back
Looking back, she was right; my momma always spittin' facts
That's when I started writing poems, then I started writing raps
Fifth grade, homeroom, my favorite teacher, Miss White
Recess really was the best, and I had my first fight
My dad was buying what I want, I ain't have to ask twice
Little did I know that everything he bought came with a price
Sixth grade, t'd me up, but then I started spotting snakes
Started thinking I was grown, all my friends was in eighth
Nariyo, Von, and Keymoney, real niggas, them my ace
And Shaniya and A'shyia can't forget about Nashai
Seventh grade it took a turn, started acting up in class
Tryna show out for my friends—good grades just bad
They started calling to my home; momma getting on my ass
Kids asking every day, "Why I'm acting so sad?"
Eighth grade, I started skipping, rode the bus up to the mall
Go downtown, they rollin' up, you wanna smoke? Hell nah
Thought I was super slick 'til my momma got that call
I was put up for a month straight, home and washing walls
Ninth grade, hated walking, so I started riding steamers
Then I got my first car, yeah, it could've been cleaner
Fast forward '24, now I'm riding in a Beamer
But i'm really not surprised, man, I always been a dreamer
Tenth grade, COVID hit, I was sleeping all in class
Till this day, I don't know how a nigga even passed
Lost my v-card this year, and I nutted hella fast
Then she ran her mouth too much, left her ass in the past
Eleventh grade, watched a fight, then I seen three bodies drop
Heard them sirens, then I hit it; I do not fuck with the cops
Went back to school, tightened up, gotta make it to 5th block
Did them niggas get away? Hell nah, they got caught
Twelfth grade, switched schools; I was focused on the bell
I was making hella plays, hit my CashApp or my Zelle
I ain't get to walk the stage cause of one class that I failed
But regardless of that, bitch, I been that nigga, K-12
But regardless of that, bitch, I been that nigga, K-12
I ain't get to walk the stage cause of one class that I failed
But regardless of that, bitch, I been that nigga, K-12
