Smar-T Jones feat. Marissa Williams - Bicycle Lyrics

Lyrics Bicycle - Smar-T Jones feat. Marissa Williams

That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
Hoping one day to make it my own
That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
Hoping one day to make it my own
That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
Hoping one day to make it my own
My first bike stood a few feet tall
I was just a little tyke not scared at all
I would ride it down the street unable to fall
Training wheels made it possible for me to stall
I only saw 'em as an obstacle for me to take off
Lost the training wheels and took off slowly
At first Dad helped hold me sturdy and firm
And then he let me go to let me do it on my own
I saw him waving and smiling
So proud of my achievement
I must have rode a few miles in the yard that evening
That bike was the main reason I was even smiling
Awoke the next day and started riding
My tire hit a bolt and with a jolt
I felt my entire body catapult into the dirt
Teaching me that worthwhile things
May hurt more than the lack of change
That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
Hoping one day to make it my own
I took my bike back out but it took a few days
For me to get back up and to do my thing
I had a new helmet and a brand new chain
'Cause the last one was rusty from sitting in the rain
That's when I learned that you had to maintain
Anything you loved for it simply to remain
So I gave the bike a name
And I prayed that it would never choke
Put a playing card under each and every spoke
Never drank as much Coke as I did back then
And all I really wanted was the aluminum can
Kicked up the stand every time I had to go in
Returned one time to see my bike and been stolen
No more rolling up and down the street
The only thing rolling then was the tears down my cheeks
'Cause everything you seek someone else is always seeking
And every time you sleep you're just giving them good reason
That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
Hoping one day to make it my own
That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
Hoping one day to make it my own
That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
Hoping one day to make it my own
I don't know where that bike is now
Or if it'd be the same if I were to track it down
A lot of shit has changed
And we've both been tainted
We've evolved and been spray painted
I've lost hope staring at the pavement
Walking to the store hoping they'd have a payment plan
I've been slaving with two hands
Saving up ones in a rubber band
I took it to the cashier and thought she'd understand
But she said I had to have more and then to try again
And then I took a pen and wrote an IOU
In the form of this song hoping it would do
I mapped it out and practiced in my room
But when I sang my face turned blue
Lungs froze thinking where did my wind go
Now I'm back outside looking through the window
That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
Hoping one day to make it my own
That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
Hoping one day to make it my own
That's the one when I picked it out
That's the one I can't live without
Been saving up looking through the window
(Hoping) one day to make it my own
One day you will be my own (That's the one)
One day you will be my own (That's the one)
One day you will be my own (That's the one)
One day you will be my own (That's the one)
