What a year it's been and really nobody knows

We only see our friends and family talking through the phone
I know everyone's isolated but no one is alone
There's been highs

Most schools are closed
And it feels like the same thing has been cooking on the stove
There's a lot of negativity and all of it is shown
But just live it to the best because there's nothing you control
With the isolation I feel like as people we can grow
And we really find out who we need and who we don't
Every sporting event is cancelled or postponed
Businesses are shutdown and Corona's on the throne
Families are in quarantine
Chilling on their own
This the biggest pandemic that the world has ever known
But listen, head high
Stay in your position
You could learn some new skills while the world is in remission
You could hike, drive, bike ride
Binge watch in the nighttime
As long as your creative and your tryna keep the right mind
You could workout and get big
Get some nice tri's
Find yourself as a person
Mentally it's grind time
I am confident when I'm laying lookin in the night sky
At the end of the day that we fight lives
We'll beat it believe it
At the moment making light strides
We will look back and say it was a nice try

It's history in the making
It shutdown the world of entertainment
A lot of people stuck with the aggravation
Especially the seniors who will not have graduation
There's a lot things this event has stolen or taken
And so much is changing
That no one's erasing
This from their memory bank
But it's not about us
It's doctors we should especially thank
Cause as I'm writing this I just wanna get to the chase
We just gotta stand still and stay set in our space
And as soon as we do that
All of this is over
And the weight of quarantine
Will be lifted off our shoulders
Cause right now it feels like a boulder
That's weighing people down into moods
And not giving people closure
