شرار عمر فانیم من
طلوع جاودان تویی تو
نشان ناتوانیم من
توان بی نشان تویی تو
تو شور عشقم داده ای
مرا تو رسوا کرده ای
به کوی اهل دل مرا
تو مست و شیدا کرده ای
کجا روم که چاره ساز ای خدا تویی
نیاز هر چه بی نیاز ای خدا تویی

سبب گر بسوزد
مسبب تو هستی
سبب ساز این جهان تویی
ز دست که آید که دستم بگیرد
مرا سایه ی امان تویی

Oh my God, to those drunk on the cup of witness,
To those who create wisdom, the gathering of prostration,
To those who came drunk without wine,
Who came to worship without drinking wine,
In this state of drunkenness, I found serenity,
I called out to you, O God.
From this life that I have seen,
What nights, my God, have I called out to God.
I laid my head in prostration on your dust,
I prayed at your door tonight.

The spark of my mortal life is from you,
The eternal dawn is you.
The sign of my weakness is from you,
The power without a sign is you.
You have given me the passion of love,
You have disgraced me.
In the alley of the people of the heart,
You have made me drunk and crazy.
Where can I go? The remedy is you, O God,
The need of every needless one is you, O God.

If the cause burns,
The causer is you.
The cause of this world is you.
From whose hand can I come that my hand will take hold of me?
Your shadow is my safe haven.
