Every time I've heard the words sorry for your loss
From a distant relative or a former boss
I tried keepin a smile but can't manage long
Sink into a bad head space and pay the cost
It's momentary but it's clear to some
It's hard to admit but some fears have won
I know better than most that in the years to come
I'm growin cold and distant and near to none
