Killed for having a dream I hope today that we will see
Until there is change people can never really be free
Stop the injustice, stop the intolerance
Stop the silence stop the arguments
Start standing up for our black brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers and friends
Stop judging people based on the colour of their skin

I used to stay away from speaking out thinking it wasn't my place
Because the colour of my face
But this is everybody's problem not just black people
This a history of them not being treated as equals
And I'm sick of it
Citizens rights violated it's not civil yet
And we do not need to live with it
Ready to risk it all and go in a war
Justice for George Floyd and so many more
The tolls this has taken on the lives broken and destroyed
Taken away the hope and all the joy
All that they can say is he could've handled it better
As they leave you with your grieving family members
Friends telling me in Canada, never this only happens in the states
But in fact it happens everyday
Stop acting like this doesn't affect you
And start making a difference the silence is detrimental
